Recently, a Beelink Mate Mini dock designed for the Apple Mac Mini was reviewed, highlighting its ability to expand storage options. Given the high cost of Apple's storage solutions, this dock offers an alternative that utilizes Thunderbolt 5 technology for enhanced bandwidth. It features slots for two M.2 SSDs, an additional network port, an SD card slot, and more, all within a footprint that aligns closely with the Mac Mini's design.

The dock is equipped with multiple ports, including two USB Type-A ports, a 2.5GbE Ethernet port, a headphone jack, a Thunderbolt 5 port, and a USB Power Delivery (PD) In port for when connected devices exceed 15W. Additionally, there is an SD card slot conveniently located on the side, which has been noted as a desirable feature for many Mac Mini users.

The device has a sleek, Apple-esque design, and accessing the internal components requires unscrewing approximately eight screws and removing rubber feet. The dock also includes two Thunderbolt 5 bridge cables for connectivity.

While the Mate Mini's footprint is designed to match the Mac Mini, its color differs slightly. Installation options include positioning it beneath the Mac Mini, though this obscures the power button. Alternatively, it can be mounted on top, but this leaves the Mate Mini stacked above the Mac Mini.
