A new apartment in Delhi, designed by Mold Design Studio and named Brickloom, spans 4,500 square feet. This high-rise residence stands out with its expansive interiors and a generous outdoor area, evoking the feel of a rural retreat.
The heart of the home features a striking double-height space, serving as the main circulation hub and connecting various living areas. The design incorporates a raw, industrial aesthetic with exposed brickwork, metal details, and minimalistic surfaces. To create a warm and inviting atmosphere, elements such as teak and live-edge timber, brass fixtures, cane and rattan detailing, and hand-blocked textiles have been integrated throughout.
The furniture design mirrors this theme, combining soft bouclé forms with artisanal wood and cane craftsmanship, and industrial elements like a Crittall-style glass partition separating the home office. This results in a cohesive look enhanced by bold color accents of olive green, rust orange, and cobalt blue.
A floating timber-and-steel staircase connects the kitchen and dining areas to the private rooms upstairs, serving as a key design feature with an open balustrade that maintains visual connections across levels.
Outside, the roof terrace features ochre-washed walls and arched cobalt-blue louvred shutters. With cobbled flooring and a swimming pool, the design reflects the palette of the Greek islands, intended as a personal retreat. The design team noted that the terrace is oriented for year-round gatherings, with a sun-washed pool for summer and a fireplace and barbecue area for winter. At night, fairy lights illuminate the space, creating an inviting atmosphere.
