Andrea Pallarès, a recent graduate of the Royal College of Art, has developed a concept for flexible furniture tailored for urban living as part of her graduation project. As the cost of living increases, many individuals find themselves downsizing, necessitating multifunctional rooms and furniture. In response, Pallarès has created Nook, an all-in-one furniture piece designed to adapt to users' needs throughout the day.

Nook features a custom bed frame equipped with pillow and duvet covers that can serve as a backrest and armrest, along with three upholstered cushions that act as space dividers. This versatile design allows Nook to transform from a comfortable social area for hosting guests during the day into a cozy, private sleeping space at night. For those in smaller living spaces, Nook provides an ideal solution by merging the functionalities of a bed and a sofa.

Furthermore, Nook includes a built-in flat surface, which can function as either a side table or desk. The design incorporates a magnet system that keeps the three cushions upright for added privacy.

The materials used for Nook include FEBRIK textiles, which supported the project by partially sponsoring the textile components.
