La Redoute has introduced the Les Ingenieux collection, transforming the concept of space-saving furniture into something stylish and appealing. Traditionally, such furniture may evoke images of outdated designs like Murphy beds, but this new range offers a modern aesthetic alongside practical features. Available online since September 13, the collection has garnered attention for its innovative approaches to design.
The Les Ingenieux series features a combination of wood and rattan, giving it an elegant and sophisticated look. While it may not be the most budget-friendly option, with prices ranging from £260 for a bedside table to £875 for a modern Murphy bed, the designs are deemed fairly priced given their thoughtful craftsmanship. Sarah Link, head of marketing at La Redoute, stated, "We firmly believe that interior pieces should also be adaptable to your daily needs and create a stylish and practical home."
One standout piece is the Matheo Hideaway Cabinet Desk, which offers a fold-out workspace that closes up to reveal a sleek cabinet when not in use. This design is an example of merging beauty and functionality, making it a great fit for smaller living spaces. Another highlight is the Volga Extendable & Rotatable Shelving Unit, priced at £675, which has quickly sold out due to its ability to double in size and fit into corners, catering to various storage needs.
The collection also includes a nesting bedside table and a rattan headboard with built-in storage, showcasing the innovative design philosophy of La Redoute. Each item in the collection emphasizes both aesthetic value and practical purpose, sparking interest among homeowners seeking stylish solutions for limited spaces.
