Each package contains two LED units, four adhesive magnetic plates, a 6-inch USB-A to USB-C charging cable, and some paperwork. The lights boast adjustable color temperatures—ranging from warm to cool—and three brightness levels. They utilize a motion light sensor and provide multiple working modes. Notably, they come with a larger capacity rechargeable battery that promises long-lasting use.
These lamps have dimensions of 13.25” x 1.875” x 0.5” and feature a USB-C port along with a three-way slider for power settings. One button adjusts the color temperature through three options: 100% warm (2800ºK), a 50/50 mix (4000ºK), and 100% cool light (8000ºK). The second button controls brightness at levels of 15%, 60%, and 100%. They include a hemispherical motion sensor for activation, which is effective in detecting movement.
Installation is straightforward, with a flat back that allows easy mounting via magnets embedded in the unit.
Users can attach the units to other magnetic surfaces without using the metal plates, and a retractable hanging loop provides an alternative mounting option. The manufacturer recommends charging fully upon initial use; the units can be charged with 5-watt or 20-watt adapters and came with about 80% charge upon arrival.
In performance testing, one lamp was installed in a linen closet and the other under a kitchen cabinet. Both lights activated appropriately with motion, such as opening the closet door or when activity occurred on the kitchen counter. This raises the possibility of unexpected activation based on surrounding movement, like that of pets.
The HIBOITEC lamps are lightweight yet powerful, offering good range in intensity and color temperature adjustments. They are also rapidly rechargeable with a long-lasting battery. However, the product could improve by allowing users to adjust the shut-off delay or motion sensitivity and by providing additional color options.
