Synology has introduced the FlashStation FS200T, an all-flash NAS aimed at home offices and small businesses, providing a space-efficient alternative for users seeking faster local storage without the bulk of traditional desktop units.

The FS200T features six 2.5-inch SSD bays and is optimized for tasks such as private cloud storage, device backup, file sharing, and lightweight containerization. Designed to deliver responsive flash performance, the unit's compact form allows it to fit seamlessly in both home and office environments.

Measuring 121 x 151 x 175 mm, the NAS includes built-in 2.5GbE and 1GbE ports, which enhance file transfer speeds compared to its predecessor while offering failover capabilities. Synology notes that the device supports third-party SSDs without restrictions, although its own SSDs are listed as validated options for optimal compatibility.

Operating on DiskStation Manager (DSM), the FS200T provides users access to Synology Drive for establishing a private cloud and syncing files across devices. It also supports the Active Backup Suite, protecting Windows, Linux, and macOS devices, virtual machines, and cloud accounts.

“Delivering a remarkably small footprint alongside near-silent operation and responsive flash performance, the FS200T is ideal for enthusiasts focused on lightweight containerization and virtualization, or home users prioritizing a quiet workspace,” stated Julien Chen, product manager at Synology.

Since May 27, 2026, the FS200T has been available through Synology's partners and resellers. Although regional pricing for the UAE or Saudi Arabia has not been announced, local buyers are encouraged to check with regional resellers for availability.

The launch of the FS200T offers small offices and advanced home users a new choice between basic consumer NAS systems and larger business storage solutions, emphasizing quiet operation, fast local access, and integration with Synology’s backup and private cloud software.
