Philips Hue is expanding its product line with new offerings aimed at kitchen lighting. Following its collaboration with German kitchen manufacturer Nobilia two years ago, the Philips Hue Linear Gradient light strip is set to launch on September 11, coinciding with the IFA in Berlin. This product is now listed with a regular Danish retailer.
The Philips Hue Linear Gradient light strip will be available in both black and white housing options, launching as a starter set that includes two light strips, expected to be priced around 270 euros. Additional light strips are projected to cost about 115 euros each. Each segment measures 60 centimeters and can be easily connected end-to-end to extend the total length. The brightness for the tested modules is 1,000 lumens per meter.
Philips Hue is also introducing under cabinet spotlights tailored for kitchen use. These lights, initially integrated into cabinets, are now being designed for surface mounting, allowing for easier installation. Available in black and white, a starter set of three spotlights may cost approximately 290 euros, with individual spotlights expected to be around 90 euros, though these prices are not yet confirmed.
The new under cabinet spotlights reportedly have a single controller, meaning they can only display the same color and brightness simultaneously. Customers can check their local Philips Hue Online Store for product availability and additional technical details.
