GE Lighting, part of Savant, is expanding its line of smart shades by introducing customizable options that offer customers more control over the appearance and fit of their window treatments.
The new GE smart shades are available in made-to-order sizes, ranging from 28 to 72 inches wide and 35 to 110 inches tall, allowing for a precise fit inside or outside window openings.
With an expanded selection of high-end fabrics, these shades can complement various room décors. In addition to standard Blackout and Translucent fabrics, the options now include 3% solar fabric and a range of designer Light Filtering and Blackout Fabrics. Customers can pair each fabric with either a black or white aluminum frame.
To accommodate various window hardware, GE smart shades can now roll in two directions. Users can select the standard roll, which positions the shade near the windowpane, or the new reverse roll, which allows the shade to raise and lower away from the window.
Starting at $300, the custom GE shades can be installed in under 10 minutes, offer up to a month of operation per charge, and are compatible with Google, Alexa, and Apple HomeKit via Matter over Thread.
